Cooperation between Turkmenistan and the People's Republic of China, based on the unshakable principles of mutual respect and equality, is steadily gaining new strategic meaning. Today, interstate relations, historical roots of which date back to the ancient Silk Road, are rapidly expanding in the interests of the peoples of both countries.

The high-level meetings held during the recent friendly visit of National Leader of the Turkmen People and Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov to the People's Republic of China gave a powerful new impetus to our comprehensive strategic partnership. The recent talks with a prestigious Chinese delegation, which visited Ashgabat at the direction of Xi Jinping, and the agreements reached as a result, also served as a clear example of the coordinated alignment of national interests with the goals of universal development.

Building on this growing dialogue, Turkmen President Serdar Berdimuhamedov extended an invitation to Chinese President Xi Jinping to visit Turkmenistan, marking a new chapter in bilateral relations.

In turn, Chinese President Xi Jinping gratefully accepted the invitation and sent a reciprocal message to the Turkmen leader.

"To His Excellency Mr. Serdar Berdimuhamedov, President of Turkmenistan Dear Mr. President!

I have received your letter.

You have long been making efforts to develop Chinese-Turkmen relations, making an important contribution to strengthening the traditional friendship between the two countries, and promoting cooperation between the two sides in various fields, and I highly appreciate this.

I attach great importance to the development of the China-Turkmenistan comprehensive strategic partnership and look forward to maintaining close working contacts with you. Thank you for your invitation and look forward to visiting Turkmenistan at a mutually convenient time. The Foreign Ministries of the two countries can maintain close communication on this matter.

In your letter, you mentioned a number of major cooperation projects between China and Turkmenistan. China consistently supports deepening the mutually beneficial partnership between the two countries in various fields, and the China-Turkmenistan Cooperation Committee can carefully study these proposals and implement them under appropriate conditions. China stands ready to work with Turkmenistan to create new, vibrant examples of cooperation and continuously enrich the China-Turkmenistan Community of Shared Future.
