China's first homegrown large cruise ship starts Spring Festival voyage

China's first domestically built large cruise ship, Adora Magic City, is carrying thousands of tourists from all over the country on a Spring Festival-themed six-day-and-five-night voyage.

Adora Magic City left a port in Shanghai on Monday, the 2026 Chinese New Year's Eve, to start the trip which will carry the holiday makers to Incheon and Jeju of the neighboring Republic of Korea.

After ushering in the 2026 Chinese New Year -- which is a Year of the Horse -- aboard the ship, the tourists are enjoying various performances and activities including experiencing Chinese New Year customs such as writing Spring Festival couplets.
