Chinese superbike and capsule gastroscopy robot win top Canton Fair design awards

A Chinese high-performance motorcycle and a swallowable robotic gastric endoscopy system have won the top prizes at the 2026 Canton Fair Design Award, highlighting the growing role of technological innovation in China's export products.
The CF Award was established in 2013 and includes Gold, Silver and Bronze Awards, as well as the Supreme Gold Award. Winners are selected by Chinese and international design experts and representatives from various industries.
This year, 222 products from 174 companies received awards. They include AI translation glasses, smart conference terminals, photovoltaic curtain walls and other technologies focused on intelligent systems and green design.
One of the Supreme Gold Awards went to the ZXMOTO 820 RR motorcycle, which delivers up to 135 horsepower and accelerates from zero to 100 kilometers per hour in 2.81 seconds. Its racing version is competing in the World Superbike Championship, where it has already won six rounds and currently ranks second.
The second Supreme Gold Award went to the Zhixun Capsule Robot Gastric Endoscopy System. Roughly the size of an ordinary pill, the robot is swallowed like a capsule and automatically captures images inside the stomach while transmitting real-time footage to a tablet.
Developers say the system can complete a gastroscopy in about 20 minutes without inserting an endoscopic tube and also allows doctors to conduct examinations remotely.
The exhibition also presents a timeline of previous CF Award winners, from a baby monitor in 2014 to a curtain wall cleaning robot in 2024 and a brain-computer-controlled bionic hand in 2025.
According to CCTV+, the growing presence of advanced technologies among award-winning products reflects China's shift from traditional manufacturing toward science- and technology-driven export innovation.
