China's Ministry of Commerce said investigations into U.S. practices that may disrupt global production and supply chains and restrict trade in green products have been extended until December 27 because of the complexity of the cases.

The investigations were launched on March 27. According to the ministry, they cover measures that may harm the commercial interests of Chinese companies and, in some cases, may violate World Trade Organization rules and other international economic and trade agreements, according to the Chinese side.

The measures under review include restrictions on exports of high-tech products to China, limits on investment in key sectors, barriers to green-product exports to the United States, delays in new-energy projects and restrictions on related technological cooperation.

According to CCTV+, the extension will allow the Ministry of Commerce to continue assessing the impact of the U.S. measures on Chinese companies, global supply chains and trade in green products. The investigations are expected to conclude by the end of December.
