China delivers fifth batch of humanitarian aid to Nepal for landslide victims

On Friday afternoon, the fifth batch of humanitarian aid from China arrived at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu, the capital of Nepal. The cargo includes diesel generators, medical protective masks, mortuaries, DNA testing equipment and reagents, water rescue equipment and other items. They are expected to support Nepal in subsequent operations in areas affected by landslides.
Recall that a rapidly spreading chain landslide caused by the collapse of a high-altitude glacier in Nepal hit the China-Nepal border on August 26, causing many casualties and leaving many missing. According to the latest data from the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Authority, as of 11:00 local time on Friday, the death toll from the devastating landslide in Nepal reached 1,385. Another 5,130 people are still missing.
As reported by CCTV+, China continues to provide humanitarian support to Nepal, while rescue operations and the search for the missing continue.
