China's car exports exceeded one million units for the third consecutive month in August
The growth of Chinese car exports is not just numbers but a reflection of profound changes in global industry. When a country not only produces but also sets standards, especially in the field of new energy vehicles, it signals a shift in technological paradigms.
According to data from the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers published on Thursday, China's car exports in August reached 1.01 million units, up 65.3% year-on-year, marking the third consecutive month that export volume has exceeded one million units. The dominance of new energy vehicles (NEVs) in the Chinese auto market further strengthened in August: NEV sales accounted for a record 60.6% of monthly new car sales.
Last month, NEV production and sales reached more than 1.65 million and 1.64 million units respectively, up 18.9% and 17.8% year-on-year, the data showed. The country's NEV exports last month grew 1.3 times compared with last year to 526,000 units, accounting for more than half of total car exports for three consecutive months.
As reported by CCTV+, the rapid growth of exports and the NEV share confirms that China's auto industry is confidently taking a leading position in the global market, and its bet on electric vehicles and innovation is yielding tangible results.
