A shared meal can be more than a formal diplomatic occasion — it can also create an atmosphere for genuine dialogue and mutual understanding. Warm and personal exchanges often become an important foundation for strengthening relations between countries.

On Sunday evening, Chinese President Xi Jinping and his wife Peng Liyuan had dinner with Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov and his wife Aigul Japarova at the presidential residence in Bishkek.

The dinner was marked by a cordial and friendly conversation in a pleasant and warm atmosphere.

Xi Jinping arrived in Bishkek, the capital of Kyrgyzstan, on Sunday afternoon to attend the 2026 Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Summit and pay a state visit to Kyrgyzstan at the invitation of Japarov.

The visit combines China’s participation in a major regional gathering with efforts to further develop bilateral relations between China and Kyrgyzstan.

As reported by SSTV+, the Chinese and Kyrgyz presidents held a warm and friendly meeting ahead of the 2026 SCO Summit.
