Slovak President Peter Pellegrini visited the world's first 4S robot-staffed store in Beijing

The Slovak president's visit to Beijing's Robot Mall is not just a diplomatic gesture but a recognition that China is becoming not only a robot manufacturer but also a trendsetter in their everyday application. From half‑marathons with humanoid robots to medical assistants, innovations are moving into streets and homes, and Slovakia is ready to adopt this experience.
Peter Pellegrini is on a state visit to China from 27 to 29 July at the invitation of the Chinese president. On Tuesday, he visited the world's first 4S robot‑staffed store, known as Robot Mall, in Beijing's E‑Town. The president toured highlights of a half‑marathon competition featuring humanoid robots and interacted with humanoid and medical robots during his visit. Expressing admiration for China's achievements in robotics, the Slovak leader said that the advanced technologies on display would find their way into everyday life in the near future.
Robot Mall is designed to support the transition of robotics from technological innovation to real‑world application. The exhibition demonstrates how robots are entering homes and industry, including education, delivery, communication, entertainment and daily services. During the tour, Pellegrini shared his views on Sino‑Slovak cooperation in advanced technologies: "Slovakia is a small country, but what is developed in China can already be used in Slovakia. So I think we need to find a way to implement this into our daily lives, into our companies and so on as soon as possible."
Chinese investment in Slovakia has continued to grow in recent years, particularly in high‑tech industries, green energy and innovative sectors. Analysts say closer cooperation in modern technology and research will remain a key theme during his visit. As CCTV+ reports.
