Shanghai launches campaign to recruit participants for 10th China International Import Expo

When trade becomes a bridge between countries, exhibitions turn into lively platforms for dialogue. The China International Import Expo (CIIE) is not just a showcase for goods but a symbol of China's openness to the world, where new contracts, partnerships and ideas are born every year. The 10th anniversary season promises to be record‑breaking, and the business interest a year in advance speaks for itself: 68 companies have already booked exhibition space.
On Monday, Shanghai launched the campaign to recruit participants for the 10th China International Import Expo. The day also marked the start of the 100‑day countdown to the opening of the 9th CIIE. At the National Exhibition and Convention Centre (Shanghai), 68 companies booked exhibition space a year ahead of the fair, with total area exceeding 50,000 square metres. More than 30 companies have participated in every CIIE since its inception, earning the title of "full‑session participants". "We are one of the full‑session participants of CIIE. CIIE is a great opportunity for us to connect with the world and also a crucial platform for launching new products," said Tang Yingying, a company representative. "CIIE has created a platform for multilateral, mutually beneficial trade. Through the dual cycle of 'buying and selling globally', it connects China with international markets. We are not just witnesses to nine years of CIIE; we are true beneficiaries," said Sheng Wenhao, a representative of another company.
On the same day, the 9th CIIE promotional and roadshow was held at the Shanghai Exhibition Centre, featuring a "business matchmaking corridor" between exhibitors and buyers. The event brought together 64 exhibitors from six main CIIE exhibition zones, innovation incubation zones, and domestic and international organisers, along with 202 buyers for networking and negotiations. The event was attended by 37 Fortune Global 500 companies and leading industry players. "We signed an agreement with a company handling bonded warehouse processing in the Yangshan special comprehensive bonded zone. Changing this supply node has expanded the entire market for us and represents a major innovation for the cross‑border supply chain," said Sun Jiangchun, a procurement manager.
CIIE has been held in Shanghai since 2018 and has become one of the world's largest platforms for imports, demonstrating China's commitment to openness and global cooperation. In 2025, the expo attracted record numbers of participants and transaction volumes. The 10th CIIE, scheduled for November 2027, is expected to attract even more international companies, especially in high‑tech, green energy and consumer goods. As CCTV+ reports. The early campaign launch and record early bookings confirm the strong interest in the Chinese market and trust in the CIIE platform as an effective tool for international trade.
