Guest of Honour is the United Arab Emirates. The program includes China‑UAE copyright matchmaking events, as well as sessions on online literature and digital reading. The main goal is dialogue and cooperation through books.
As reported by CCTV+, the 32nd Beijing International Book Fair will be held from June 17 to 21 at the China National Convention Center, as announced at a press conference in the Chinese capital on Wednesday. This year's fair covers an exhibition area of 60,000 square meters. It is dedicated to communication and dialogue through books, aiming to achieve successful cooperation among all stakeholders.
More than 1,700 exhibitors from 82 countries and regions will participate, presenting a total of 220,000 book titles from around the world. The Guest of Honour is the United Arab Emirates (UAE). Various exchange activities will be held during the fair, including a China‑UAE copyright matchmaking event. There will also be events focusing on online literature, digital reading, and other topics.
The Beijing International Book Fair (BIBF) is one of the largest book events in Asia. Held annually, it serves as a platform for international publishing, translation, and copyright deals. In 2026, the emphasis is on digital formats and cross‑cultural dialogue.
The book remains the most reliable bridge between cultures. 60,000 square meters, 82 countries, 220,000 titles — behind these numbers lie thousands of stories waiting for their reader on the other side of the planet. When publishers from the UAE and China sit down at the same table to discuss copyrights, more than a contract is born. A new conversation between civilizations is born. And as pages rustle, the world becomes just a little bit closer.
