Chinese airlines will lower fuel surcharges on domestic flights from June 5, several operators have confirmed.

For adult passengers, the surcharge will be reduced to 150 yuan (about 20.7 US dollars) per person on routes longer than 800 kilometres, and to 80 yuan on routes of 800 kilometres or less. This is a reduction of 20 and 10 yuan from current rates, respectively.
