The Permanent Missions of Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Azerbaijan, India, Iran, Iraq, and Turkey to the United Nations held a festive event on the occasion of the International Novruz Day.

Congratulating President Serdar Berdimuhamedov and the people of Turkmenistan on the Novruz holiday, Chinese President Xi Jinping recalled in his message that open, friendly and eventful meetings were held in China last year and it was announced that Chinese-Turkmen relations had been raised to the level of comprehensive strategic partnership.

Representatives of the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan and the International Center for European Education (CIFE) held negotiations via video conference. Teachers and students of a number of higher educational institutions of Turkmenistan also took part in the meeting.

The delegation of Turkmenistan, led by the Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs, took part in side events dedicated to the activities of the Central Asian Regional Information Coordination Center for Combating Illicit Trafficking in Narcotic Drugs, Psychotropic Substances and Their Precursors (CARICC). Side events were organized as part of the high-level segment and the regular 67th session of the UN Commission on Narcotic Drugs, which takes place from March 14 to 22, 2024 at UN headquarters in Vienna.

On March 20, 2024, the Embassy of Turkmenistan in the People’s Republic of China held a solemn reception devoted in honour of the Year 2024 “Fount of Wisdom Magtymguly Fragi” marking 300th birth anniversary of the Great Turkmen poet, philosopher and thinker Magtymguly Fragi and the National Spring Festival - International Day of Nowruz at the Beijing Marriott Hotel. China Horse Industry Association supported this event.

President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov congratulated his compatriots on the National Spring Holiday - International Novruz Day.

A three-day business training for women on the theme "Economic empowerment of vulnerable women" was held in Ashgabat on March 18-20. The training was organized by the USAID project "Safe Migration in Central Asia" and the public organization "Yenme". The participants had the opportunity to get acquainted with the basic concepts of doing business, such as a business idea, selection criteria, rules and analysis of business ideas.

The Embassy of the Republic of Cyprus in Turkmenistan, with residence in Moscow, Russia, informs about scholarships offered by universities registered in the Republic of Cyprus for students from Turkmenistan for the 2024-2025 academic year.
