The International Forum to Attract Foreign Investment in Turkmenistan’s Energy Sector (TEIF 2024) kicked off in Paris on the 24th. The Forum is a key platform for discussing strategic directions of energy development in Turkmenistan and attracting new investments in this sector.

Turkmenistan is making significant progress on the TAPI natural gas pipeline, which aims to supply 33 billion cubic meters annually to South Asia. Speaking at the Turkmen Energy Investment Forum (TEIF 2024) currently being held in Paris, Muhammetmyrat Amanov of TAPI Pipeline Company Limited highlighted that the Turkmenistan section of the pipeline is complete and the ongoing discussions to advance the project beyond Turkmenistan are in strict alignment with international standards.

Pakistan, one of the four partners in the Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India gas pipeline project, is expected to receive final approval by the end of the second quarter of 2024 to clear the way for the start of construction. This was announced by Inter State Gas Systems, a company operating under the auspices of the petroleum division of the Ministry of Energy of Pakistan and engaged in the implementation of strategic infrastructure projects in the gas industry.

A delegation of the State Customs Service of Turkmenistan participated in a meeting of the Technical Working Group on the implementation of the pilot phase of the improved CAREC Transit System (Central Asian Regional Economic Cooperation Program).

Turkmen companies were invited to take part in the 7th China International Exhibition of Imported Goods and Services/CIIE 2024, which will be held in Shanghai from November 5 to 10.
