A creative meeting of Turkmen and Tatar masters of folk arts and crafts took place on October 18 in Ashgabat as part of the Days of Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan of the Russian Federation. The venue for the event was the capital's Museum of Fine Arts, where in a warm and friendly atmosphere in the format of “cultural dialogue” the participants discussed the preservation, study and modern development of folk arts and crafts.

The Days of Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan started in Ashgabat on Tuesday, October 17. The opening ceremony was held at the Mukams Palace of the State Cultural Center of Turkmenistan. A photo exhibition of UNESCO objects of Tatarstan was launched here and a concert of masters of arts of the republic was held.

The IV International Biennale of Applied Arts began its work in Tashkent, bringing together three dozen artists from 12 countries - France, Italy, India, Japan, Egypt, Russia, Lithuania, Azerbaijan, Central Asian countries, including Turkmenistan. Uzbekistan is represented at the festival by more than 60 artists and masters of folk and decorative arts, UzA reports.

In the history of Turkmen musical culture, the name of the composer Durdy Nuryev occupies a prominent place. He entered the world of professional music in the 1960s and left a rich legacy of genre diversity: these are songs and romances, small-form plays and concerts for various musical instruments, operas and ballets, symphonic and vocal-symphonic works, music for films and performances, choral and chamber-instrumental compositions. Among his works are the opera "Fiery Hearts", ballets "Nisa" and "The Good Sorceress", musical comedies "Guncha" and "Hopeless Love", symphonic compositions "Karakum Canal", "Our Youth", "Seidi", concerts for piano, accordion, trumpet, flute, gidzhak and bass-dutara, music for the films "The Road of the Burning Van" (ashamed with the composer Chary Nurimov), "The Quiet Daughter-in-law" and "Through the cities of Turkmenistan" and others.

The International Organization of Turkic Culture (TURKSOY) is celebrating its 30th anniversary this year. Following Almaty, Bishkek, Tashkent and Ashgabat, a festive evening in honor of the anniversary of the organization was held in Baku.

The Tatar State Academic Theater named after Galiasgar Kamal will come to Turkmenistan on tour and take part in the IV International Theater Festival in Ashgabat on November 14-16, the Consulate General of Turkmenistan in Kazan reports.

The I International Film Festival “Dawn of Arkadag” completed its work on October 15. The competition program included films from Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Russia and Turkey.

The city of Arkadag is waiting for the main film event that will be held this fall in the country. Tomorrow, October 14, the opening of the I International Film Festival "Dawn of Arkadag" will take place here. Hundreds of actors, directors, producers, film and theater stars, as well as cinematography figures from Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Russia, Turkey and France will participate.
