Plans for the organization of mutual touring activities and the participation of
artists of the Astrakhan region and Turkmenistan in significant cultural events of
each other next year, 2024, were considered at a meeting at the Ministry of
External Relations of the JSC on Wednesday.
I International Forum of Composers of the Countries The Caspian Sea
will be held in Astrakhan as part of the International Festival of
Classical Art "Caspian Seasons — 2023", which will be held in the
Russian city from August 22 to September 6.
The opening ceremony of the International Festival of Classical Art "Caspian Seasons –
2023" will be held in Astrakhan on Tuesday. The concert program will be attended by
leading performers from the Caspian states - Azerbaijan, Iran, Kazakhstan, Russia and
Turkmenistan.
In 2024, the world community will widely celebrate the 300th
anniversary of the birth of the great poet and philosopher Magtymguly
Fragi. Cultural, creative and scientific events in honor of this event will
also be held in Russia. One of the places where the memory of the poet
is honored is the Astrakhan region - a number of actions dedicated to the
creativity and spiritual heritage of Magtymguly are planned to be held
here.
An exhibition of works by talented Turkmen artists opened on Monday
at the Exhibition Hall of the Lebap regional branch of the Union of
Artists of Turkmenistan. The exposition was decorated with new works
that the masters of the brush created during the creative forum, held in
the city of Turkmenabad from August 15 to 21.
A master class on cooking Turkmen pilaf is scheduled to be held as part of the “Tasty Kazan” gastronomic festival, which is timed to the tenth anniversary of the Universiade held in the capital of Tatarstan. Guests of the event will be able to taste dishes from 80 city restaurants and cafes.
On August 24, the grand opening of the Week of Ukrainian Cinema will take place
at the Ashgabat cinema in the capital. This was reported to an ORIENT

Famous film director Timur Bekmambetov intends to develop the Kazakh film
industry and create a new cinema language in the genre of screenlife — life on
the screen, telling about digital life. He shared his ideas and projects with the
President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, with whom a meeting was held,

The regional stage of the creative review "Çalsana, bagşy!" ended in the Lebap region. The final round of
the competition was held in the building "White Yurt of Turkmens" in the city of Turkmenabad, where
the best folk musicians and bakhshi of the region showed their skills and performing talents.
