In Moscow, on Sunday, October 29, in one of the wonderful halls of the Zurab Tsereteli Art Gallery on Prechistenka, the opening of the International Music Festival dedicated to the 85th anniversary of the outstanding Turkmen composer, People’s Artist of Turkmenistan, laureate of the USSR State Prize, the State Prize of Turkmenistan named after Magtymguly Nury Halmamedov took place.

A creative meeting of Turkmen and Uzbek writers and poets took place on October 29 in Tashkent as part of the Days of Culture of Turkmenistan in Uzbekistan. The name of the brilliantly talented composer Nury Halmamedov has firmly entered the history of professional music of Turkmenistan as the creator of a unique individual style that combines the traditions of Turkmen folk music and composition techniques of the 19th and 20th centuries. His music was a unique embodiment of classical, romantic and impressionistic styles.
