The other day, primary school and kindergarten students from the French MLF school in Ashgabat went on an excursion to the Turkmen State Puppet Theater.

Preparations for events to mark the proclamation of the city of Anau as the cultural capital of the Turkic world in 2024 were considered at a meeting of the Turkmen government on Saturday, January 6. Deputy Prime Minister Myahrijemal Mammedova reported to President Serdar Berdimuhamedov about the program of planned forums, exhibitions and concerts with the participation of cultural figures of Turkic countries.

In the coming year, Turkmenistan will host two important international forums in the field of culture, dedicated to the 300th anniversary of the birth of the outstanding Turkmen poet and philosopher Magtymguly, whose work enriched the treasury of world culture. These are a summit in October, which is expected to be attended by heads of government, and an international conference in May, which will bring together culture ministers.

Such an extraordinary gift was possessed by Gosha Jepbarov, the first professional ballet dancer, choreographer and choreographer, whose 100th anniversary is being celebrated this year by the musical community of Turkmenistan.
