The Chairman of the Turkmen Parliament Dunyagozel Gulmanova held a meeting with the OSCE High Commissioner for National Minorities (HCNM) Kairat Abdrakhmanov, with whom issues of bilateral cooperation were discussed.
This became known during Abdrakhmanov's visit to Turkmenistan at the head of the delegation of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe, TDH reports.
The official representative noted the successful policy of the leadership of Turkmenistan and the effectiveness of the partnership between the Government and this international structure in political, economic, environmental and human dimensions.
The sides also exchanged views on cooperation in the field of education and science. In this context, it was said that the study of foreign languages plays a key role in the development of interregional and interstate cooperation.
The High Commissioner confirmed the OSCE's commitment to further strengthen cooperation with Turkmenistan and work with it in the field of legal implementation of international law norms into the national legislation of the country. Within the framework of the visit of the head of the OSCE HCNM, meetings are planned in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, a number of ministries and departments.
