During her visit to the Balkan region on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Turkmenistan and the EU, Renata Vrubel, the First Adviser of the EU Delegation to Turkmenistan, got acquainted with the activities of the Human Rights Resource Center based at the branch of the International University of Oil and Gas named after Yagshigeldy Kakayev, and gave the cent the appropriate benefits.
The educational materials donated by Renata Vrubel are aimed at expanding the access of local residents to information about human rights through a Resource Center open to everyone.
As the teachers of the branch of the Yagshigeldy Kakayev International University of Oil and Gas told, the Human Rights Resource Center operates normally and provides guests with access to specialized literature.
The center opened in 2011. Its work is supported within the framework of a joint project of the EU, UNDP and OHCHR — "Strengthening the national capacity of Turkmenistan to promote and protect human rights".
