The International Esports Federation (IESF) has announced the dates of the first open Asian esports competitions named Asia Open Esports. The tournament will be held from January 30 to March 15, "Inside the games" writes.
It is expected that representatives of over 35 countries will take part in the competition, who will demonstrate their skills in three categories.
"This unique championship confirms our collective desire to make esports truly exciting and inclusive, gives every player the opportunity to compete with the best from other countries," IESF President Vlad Marinescu said, expressing gratitude to Indian Big Bang Media Ventures for cooperation in hosting the tournament.
An Indian media company has entered into a partnership agreement with the International Esports Federation (IESF) to organize the event.
"Asia and the Middle East are two of the most dynamically developing esports regions in the world. Our main goal is not only to identify the champions of tomorrow, but also to create large and interested communities by making esports mainstream," the joint statement says.
