Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan Sapar Palvanov presented his credentials to King Willem Alexander of the Netherlands.
During the audience held on Wednesday, March 29, the diplomat conveyed to the monarch warm greetings and best wishes from the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov. The Ambassador also confirmed that the Government of Turkmenistan, having appointed him Ambassador to the Kingdom of the Netherlands, seeks to further expand and strengthen bilateral relations in all areas of cooperation.

Willem Alexander stressed that the kingdom is also interested in further development of relations with Turkmenistan.
It was noted that both sides have a great opportunity to raise the quality of bilateral economic cooperation to a new level. Priority areas of cooperation were announced, including energy/green energy, shipbuilding, interport cooperation, agriculture, information technology, etc.
The King supported the proposal to establish a permanent dialogue between the business circles of both countries to study supply and demand in the markets of Turkmenistan and the Netherlands, the investment climate, business prospects and the implementation of joint projects.

According to Willem Alexander, the Central Asian region as a whole, which lies between Europe and Asia, and Turkmenistan in particular, can play a decisive role in the development of continental transport corridors.
During his visit to Amsterdam, Sapar Palvanov met with the director of the Klingendahl Academy of International Relations Ron Tone, with whom Turkmen diplomats have developed good relations thanks to their active participation in trainings and courses organized for the countries of Central Asia and Mongolia.
The meeting considered the possibility of establishing partnership contacts between teachers of the Netherlands Academy and the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan to exchange experience on the methodology of training diplomats.

Ron Ton was also invited to participate in international events and conferences organized in Turkmenistan on the topics of peaceful dialogue and diplomacy. The Director of Klingendahl expressed interest in such participation, since the agenda of these events fully corresponds to the priorities of the Diplomatic Academy of the Netherlands, and in turn, invited representatives of Turkmenistan to address the target audience of the institute on topics such as the foreign policy of neutral Turkmenistan, cooperation in the field of economy, security, environmental protection and other areas.
