The first ever snowmobile raid “Snow Trail” will take place on the most exciting snow trails of Tatarstan. In February 2023, the Directorate of the Silk Road International Rally opens a new element and announces the holding of an International Snowmobile Race of the Silk Way Snow Journey series," the organizers said in a press release.

The competition will be held from February 22 to 25, 2023, according to the rules of the cross-country rally in the discipline "enduro on snowmobiles". Riders will have to overcome three special stages with a total length of about 300 kilometers. The route of the snowmobile rally raid will be laid over rough terrain without pre-prepared trails.
Athletes will have to pass the high-speed sections in the maximum allowed time and reach the finish line, consistently opening all control points provided by the organizer with the help of the navigation system. Participants of snow races will not only have to fight for seconds, but also solve navigational tasks.
Depending on the type of equipment, the participants will be divided into five scoring classes, which will ensure an equal and exciting fight for both professional athletes and novice riders.

The route for the "Snow Trail" in Tatarstan was prepared by the most experienced specialists of the Silk Road Directorate, and it fully complies with the high safety standards of the MFR. As at the summer rally, highly qualified emergency personnel will always be ready to help in any situation.
The beginning of accreditation for the Silk Way Snow Journey will be announced later. Any snowmobile owner can challenge the elements and take part in the rally, and for experienced riders this is a unique chance to expand the familiar boundaries and open a new dimension of the Silk Road project. The bonus will be a prize fund of one and a half million rubles, which will be distributed among the five fastest riders in the absolute standings, the message says.
The Directorate of the Silk Road International Rally has been conducting races on the most amazing routes of Eurasia for more than 13 years: the participants visited steppes and deserts, overcame fords and dunes and fought to the limit of their abilities for victory under the withering sun. Detailed information about the rules of participation in the Snow Trail rally raid is available on the website.
