One of the important issues that will be discussed at the 17th meeting of the Turkmen-Iranian commission in the near future is the agreement on the establishment of two border markets in Serakhs and Lotfabad. This was stated at a press conference in the administration of the Iranian province of Khorasan Razavi on Saturday.
According to ISNA, it was noted at the press conference that the volume of road traffic, including import, export and transit through three border terminals - Dogaron (with Afghanistan), Serakhs and Lotfabad (with Turkmenistan), has increased by 13% since the beginning of the year. The greatest increase in traffic is observed at the Artyk-Lutfabad crossing.
At the press conference, it was also said that in three months from the date of the resumption of the work of the joint market "Gaudan-Bajigiran" on the Turkmen-Iranian border, goods worth about 800 thousand dollars were sold there.
