Oriented on making people closer

Speaking at the second session of the International Investment Forum "Oil and Gas of Turkmenistan" (OGT-2022), Victor Nian, Advisor to the Center for Strategic Energy and Resources of Singapore, spoke about the prospects for the emergence of a hydrogen economy.

The role of financial institutions in supporting sustainable energy was considered at a special session of the international forum "Oil and Gas of Turkmenistan-2022" on Wednesday.

Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland in Turkmenistan, Lucia Wild, who took part in the work of the International Investment Forum "Oil and Gas of Turkmenistan", shared her impressions with ORIENT.

– It is impossible to overestimate the importance of this forum, especially considering the volatility of the situation in the global energy sector, so I would call this meeting an event of global significance, – Elshad Nasirov, Vice President of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan SOCAR, said in an interview with an ORIENT correspondent on the sidelines of the international forum "Oil and gas of Turkmenistan-2022”.

Creating a favorable investment climate in government and business circles, ensuring environmental protection and energy security are a solid foundation for the sustainable development of the oil and gas sector of Turkmenistan, - said Ambassador, Head of the OSCE Center in Ashgabat John MacGregor, speaking at the plenary session of the international forum "Oil and Gas of Turkmenistan – 2022”. The event takes place on March 29-30 at the Yildyz hotel in the capital.

The International Investment Forum for Attracting Foreign Investments to the Oil and Gas Sector of Turkmenistan (OGT-2022) opened at the “Yyldyz” hotel in Ashgabat and Turkmenistan’s pavilion at World Expo in Dubai.

On 29 March 2022, the OSCE Centre in Ashgabat organized an online seminar on the tasks and functions of non-profit organizations (NPOs) and their supervising agencies in the implementation of the 2021-2022 national Risk Management Action Plan (RMAP) in preparation for the Eurasian Group’s (EAG) anti-money laundering and countering financing of terrorism (AML/CFT) mutual evaluation process.

Speaking at the International Forum "Oil and Gas of Turkmenistan" (OGT-2022), Executive Director of TAPI Pipeline Company Limited Muhammetmyrat Amanov spoke about the role of natural gas as a bridge to reduce the carbon footprint.

The energy cooperation between China and Turkmenistan is based on strong friendship and has fruitful results, as well as a focus on deepening ties, using new, clean energy, said Huang Yongzhang, vice president of the China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC), executive director and president of PetroChina.

The situation in the energy market today forces many countries to reconsider their views on energy security, she said, speaking at OGT-2022 director of the advisory committee of Trans Caspian Resources Natalie Costello.
