Quarantine restrictions will be partially lifted in Kazakhstan from March 1st

Under the chairmanship of the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan Yeraly Tugzhanov, a meeting of the Interdepartmental Commission on Preventing the Spread of Coronavirus Infection in Kazakhstan was held, as reported by the media.

A number of decisions were made following the meeting of the IAC. Regions located in the “green” zone for 7 days, can allow the work of circuses, billiard clubs, children’s entertainment centers from March 1st with up to 30% occupancy; carrying out sports events (also up to 30%), the rite of Friday prayer (up to 30%) and commemoration (up to 30%, no more than 50 people). Regions that are in the “yellow” zone for 7 days can allow the work of covered markets (grocery and non-food), shopping and entertainment centers, trading houses and retail chains on Sundays on Sundays.

From March 1st, combined education of schoolchildren from grades 1 to 5 will also be allowed, in international educational institutions – from grades 1 to 7, with the exception of Mangistau, Kostanay, Zhambyl regions, where the largest number of violations of the sanitary and epidemiological regime in organizations was recorded.

The proposal of the Ministry of Industry and Infrastructure Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan to increase the number of international flights with Turkey (additional 4 flights), Uzbekistan (+ 4 flights), Kyrgyzstan (+ 2 flights) and Ukraine (+1 flight) also received support from the commission. In addition, the Minister of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan Alexei Tsoi reported on the progress of the development of the draft law on biological safety.
