Global recognition: Karakalpakstan’s Kobyz and Yurt have been added to UNESCO heritage lists
Two unique cultural treasures of Karakalpakstan — the Kobyz musical instrument and the traditional Yurt — have been officially included in the UNESCO Lists of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. This historic decision was adopted at the 20th session of UNESCO’s Intergovernmental Committee, held in New Delhi, India
