New textbooks on Technical Labor and Fine Arts have been published in Turkmenistan
Turkmenistan continues its systematic efforts to improve school education and modernize its educational and methodological resources. The Turkmen State Publishing Service has released two new textbooks for 5th-grade students in Russian-language schools: Technical Labor and Fine Arts.
Practical skills and foundations of craftsmanship
The Technical Labor textbook is aimed at developing students’ practical abilities and technical thinking. The curriculum is designed to explain complex processes in a simple and accessible way, enabling fifth-grade students to study clay-working techniques and the properties of wood, master the use of hand tools, and thoroughly learn safety regulations for practical work. The revised Fine Arts textbook focuses on the spiritual and cultural education of young people. The content is divided into thematic sections dedicated to national applied arts and world artistic masterpieces.
Special attention is given to the study of the unique ornaments of Turkmen carpets, jewelry craftsmanship, and traditional embroidery. This helps children gain a deeper understanding of the rich heritage of the Turkmen people while developing their aesthetic perception of the world.
