Embassy of Turkmenistan presented the Arkadag city project at a forum in Kabul
On May 5, an event dedicated to the World Urban Forum, which will take place in Baku from May 17 to 22 this year, was held at the Kabul Grand Hotel. The event was organized by the UN-Habitat Office in Afghanistan in cooperation with the Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
The meeting brought together heads of diplomatic missions and representatives of international organizations accredited in Kabul.
During the event, the Ambassador of Turkmenistan, Hoja Ovezov, provided detailed information about the country’s active cooperation with UN-Habitat, as well as Turkmenistan’s initiatives aimed at modernizing urban infrastructure and developing environmentally sustainable communities.
Special attention was given to the city of Arkadag, where digital and “green” technologies are being successfully integrated into urban life-support systems. The presentation was accompanied by a thematic photo exhibition and a video showcasing the city’s innovative image.
