On May 1, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan to the United States Esen Aydogdyev met with Assistant Secretary of State for South and Central Asian Affairs Paul Kapur in Washington. The talks at the State Department reaffirmed the commitment to deepening the constructive partnership between the two countries.

During the conversation, the diplomats emphasized the positive dynamics of bilateral relations, noting the importance of regular high-level contacts. Three key areas were emphasized:

Political and Diplomatic: The parties confirmed their readiness for close cooperation both bilaterally and within multilateral frameworks (such as the C5+1).

Economic: Prospects for expanding mutually beneficial trade and economic cooperation were discussed, which is a priority for realizing the region's economic potential.

Regional Connectivity: Particular attention was paid to logistics and infrastructure issues that facilitate closer integration of Central Asian countries into global processes.

The meeting was constructive, demonstrating a mutual interest in adding new content to the Turkmen-American agenda. The active work of the Embassy in Washington, under the leadership of Esen Aydogdyev, is intended to facilitate the implementation of key agreements and the search for new points of common interest in the interests of both countries.
