A meeting was held between the Ambassador of Turkmenistan and the leadership of the Abu Ali ibn Sino Tajik State Medical University
A meeting took place at the Abu Ali ibn Sino Tajik State Medical University between the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan to the Republic of Tajikistan and the Rector of the university, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor Muhiddin Nuriddin Davlatali.
During the meeting, the parties noted the high level of Turkmen-Tajik relations, which are consistently developing in all areas thanks to the attention and efforts of the heads of the two states. Particular attention was paid to cooperation in education, academic exchanges, and interaction between higher education institutions of the two countries.
The sides emphasized the importance of existing cooperation agreements between specialized medical universities of Turkmenistan and Tajikistan and expressed interest in further expanding partnership ties. It was also noted that an important milestone in bilateral cooperation was the visit on March 18, 2010, of the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, to this university. During the visit, a meeting was held with the teaching staff, and the National Leader was awarded the title of Honorary Professor of the university.
At the end of the meeting, a ceremonial awarding of students took place. The students were prize-winners of the IV International Internet Biology Olympiad among university students, held on November 20, 2025, at the Myrat Garryyev State Medical University of Turkmenistan.
According to the results of the Olympiad, 35 students of the university won prize places, including 12 who received medals and 23 who were awarded certificates.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the Rector of the university was presented with the book “Medicinal Plants of Turkmenistan” by the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, published in the Tajik language.
