Humanitarian cooperation was a key topic during the meeting between Deputy Prime Minister Bahar Seyidova and Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan Vasil Shaikhraziyev. Minister of Culture of Turkmenistan Atageldy Shamyradov also participated in the discussion.

The central item on the agenda was the organization of the final round of the "Tatar Kyzy-2026" International Festival and Competition, which Ashgabat will host this October. The parties discussed the creative concept of the event in detail, emphasizing that the competition is an important tool for promoting spiritual values and national traditions.

During the meeting, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan Vasil Shaikhraziyev and Minister of Education of Turkmenistan Jumamyrat Gurbangeldiyev discussed educational ties between Turkmenistan and Tatarstan.

Turkmenistan currently leads in the number of citizens studying at higher education institutions in the Republic of Tatarstan. As of February 2026, 7,138 Turkmen citizens are studying at universities in the region. Of these, 233 students are receiving vocational training under Rossotrudnichestvo quotas. The parties confirmed their intention to further develop academic mobility and expand youth participation in joint educational programs.
