On Wednesday, April 15, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov accepted the credentials of the newly appointed ambassadors of the Republic of Korea (Lee Won-jae) and Italy (Martin Bruck). These meetings confirmed the country's commitment to multi-vector cooperation and the expansion of economic horizons.

Eastern Vector: Technology and Chemistry. At a meeting with Ambassador Lee Won-jae of the Republic of Korea, Seoul remained a strategic partner for Ashgabat. Particular emphasis was placed on the work of Korean giants, such as Daewoo, in the country's chemical industry. The Central Asia–Republic of Korea Cooperation Forum in September will be an important milestone. Humanitarian affairs are also a focus: the successful work of the King Sejong Educational Center continues to bring cultures closer together through language learning.

Western Vector: Energy and Logistics. A dialogue with Italian Ambassador Martin Bruck revealed new areas of growth in relations with the European Union. ENI, a key economic player here, is successfully implementing major projects in Turkmenistan's fuel and energy sector.

In addition to energy, the parties highlighted the transport and logistics sector, particularly the development of the North-South and East-West corridors. Cultural relations between Italy and Turkmenistan are traditionally strong in the fields of archeology and museums, and the interest of young people in the Italian language at the country's universities opens new prospects for educational exchange.
