As a reminder, the Embassy of the Republic of Iraq officially opened in Ashgabat in March 2026. This event was a logical continuation of the extensive political consultations that began in Baghdad in October 2025. The presence of a full-fledged diplomatic mission allows the countries to move their dialogue from a format of one-time meetings to a permanent, operational partnership.
