Russian Ambassador Ivan Volynkin, in his article on April 8, on the 34th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Turkmenistan and the Russian Federation, emphasized that the two countries' strategic partnership is reaching new heights.

"We are excited about the visits to Turkmenistan of Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin on May 22 and the Russian President on October 9," Volynkin wrote in an article published in the Neutral Turkmenistan newspaper.

On May 22, Ashgabat will host Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin. His participation in the meeting of the CIS Heads of Government Council will be an important step in the implementation of the Commonwealth's economic strategy. The agenda includes industrial cooperation, digitalization, and transport corridors, where Turkmenistan plays a key transit role.

A major political event of the autumn is scheduled for October 9. On this day, Turkmenistan will host the CIS Heads of State Council. A visit by Russian President Vladimir Putin is expected. The visits will take place during Turkmenistan's chairmanship of the CIS bodies—the baton, taken over from Tajikistan, is being successfully implemented through a series of large-scale forums, including cultural and youth platforms.

Established on April 8, 1992, the relationship between our countries today is not only diplomatic but also economic pragmatism: joint projects in energy and construction, a humanitarian bridge, and shared memory, which was particularly emphasized during a recent telephone conversation between National Leader of the Turkmen People and Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, and Speaker of the Federation Council of the Russian Federation, Valentina Matviyenko.
