On Monday, April 6, 2026, the world witnessed a historic event: for the first time in 50 years, humans saw the far side of the Moon with their own eyes. The unique images were provided by the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA).

The photographs were taken by Artemis II astronauts aboard the Orion spacecraft. NASA specialists note that this event opens a new chapter in the study of Earth's natural satellite and demonstrates the capabilities of modern space technology.

Mission commander Reed Wiseman emphasized the impressive view from the far side of the Moon: "The Earth is almost completely in shadow, the Moon is fully illuminated, and you can only see it from the vantage point between them." His colleague Jeremy Hansen added: "It's a sight that captures the imagination and inspires new discoveries."

The Artemis II mission once again demonstrates how humanity's passion for space exploration translates into real discoveries, opening new horizons of knowledge and inspiring a generation of explorers to pursue ambitious goals.
