Winners of the “Friendship Cup” badminton tournament were announced in Ashgabat
The junior badminton tournament “Friendship Cup” has concluded in Ashgabat. Following the competition held on April 4–5, winners and prize holders were determined in two age categories.
In the boys’ under-14 category, Resul Kuliev (Secondary School No. 24) took first place, Begmyrat Poladov (School No. 77) finished second, and Hamza Saryev (School No. 24) placed third.
In the girls’ under-14 category, Medine Gulburunova (School No. 50) claimed victory. Aylar Kakanova (School No. 33) came second, and Aynur Gurbanberdyeva (School No. 53) finished third.
Among boys under 18, Artem Yusupov (School No. 50) secured first place. Imran Ikbalov (School No. 55) took second, while Shamyrat Poladov (School No. 77) came third.
In the girls’ under-18 category, Melike Bayramalieva (School No. 50) won first place. Sofea Naura (International School of Ashgabat) placed second, and Gunshat Klycheva (School No. 42) finished third.
The tournament brought together more than 70 participants and served as a platform for identifying promising athletes and promoting badminton among young people.
