ASHGABAT, April 3 | ORIENT. The transport and communications sector remains one of the main drivers of the national economy. The overall growth rate of completed work in the sector reached 114.1%.

However, road transport became the main indicator of business activity, with the volume of services provided jumping by 25%. This sharp increase, against the backdrop of stable growth in other areas (aviation - 17.4%, rail - 6.9%), indicates the high dynamism of domestic trade and small businesses, where road transport plays a key role. The sector now faces the challenge of fully utilizing the transit potential of the Turkmenbashi port.
