President Serdar Berdimuhamedov signed a decree on the celebration of Oraza Bayramy and the transfer of the day off for the National Spring Festival. Due to the coincidence of dates, residents of the country will have a long holiday break at the end of March.

According to the decree:

March 20 (Friday) has been declared a non-working day in honor of Oraza Bayramy.

March 21-22 (Saturday and Sunday) are non-working holidays in honor of the National Spring Festival (Novruz).

March 23 (Monday) is a day off (moved from Sunday, March 22).

Thus, the workweek that has begun will end with a four-day rest period: March 20, 21, 22, and 23 are non-working days.

The workweek will resume on Tuesday, March 24.

The decision to move the day off was made in accordance with Article 81 of Turkmenistan's Labor Code. This will allow citizens not only to solemnly celebrate two important holidays symbolizing spiritual rebirth and the arrival of spring, but also to spend more time with family during these blessed days.
