Microsoft AI learns to analyze doctors’ prescriptions and give health advice
The corporation Microsoft has introduced an innovative tool called Copilot Health. It is a personal assistant powered by artificial intelligence that can analyze complex medical data and translate it into language understandable to users. The service can interpret doctors’ prescriptions, explain test results, and provide personalized recommendations.
The key feature of Copilot Health is its ability to combine fragmented information. With the user’s consent, the system connects data from electronic medical records, medication history, and indicators from wearable devices such as Apple Watch or Fitbit. Based on this information, the AI helps monitor symptoms and offers advice tailored to a person’s specific health condition.
Data security was a top priority in the development of the service. Users’ medical information is securely encrypted and completely separated from general Copilot chats. To protect personal data, strict identity verification through CLEAR and encryption during data transmission are used.
Importantly, chat history and medical records are not used to train Microsoft’s neural networks. Users retain full control over their files: medical data can be edited or permanently deleted at any time.
The new service will be especially useful for people with chronic diseases that require constant monitoring. The tool is already integrated with data from more than 50,000 hospitals and laboratories. The project will be launched gradually in the United States, with plans to expand to other regions later and introduce a paid subscription for advanced features.
