A delegation from the International University for the Humanities and Development (IUHD) held negotiations with the leadership of the University of Westminster during its visit to London. The main outcome of the meeting was the discussion of concrete steps to establish dual degree programs in the “2+2” and “1+1” formats. This was reported on the official website of the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan.

The rectors of the British university, Andrew Linn and Dibyesh Anand, confirmed their readiness to expand cooperation. The parties agreed to launch exchange programs, short-term summer schools, and joint online courses in key academic areas. Special attention was also given to the exchange of experience in teaching academic English and the introduction of new educational methodologies.

An important event of the visit was an international conference held at the University of Westminster dedicated to the 35th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s independence. Representatives of IUHD presented reports to British colleagues and students on the country’s foreign policy based on the principles of permanent neutrality, as well as on Turkmenistan’s achievements in the field of education.

The British side highly appreciated Turkmenistan’s international initiatives and the reforms being carried out in the country. Establishing strong ties with the University of Westminster opens unique opportunities for Turkmen youth to receive international education and participate in global research projects.

The meeting concluded with an agreement to prepare official agreements through diplomatic channels. This partnership will become an important stage in integrating Turkmenistan’s higher education system into the global academic community.
