Turkmenistan's preparations for the World Specialized Exhibition in Serbia have entered the practical phase. At a Cabinet of Ministers meeting on Friday, March 13, Deputy Prime Minister Nokerguly Atagulyev reported on the commencement of construction, installation, and design work on the national pavilion.

The upcoming exhibition in Belgrade will be held under the global motto "Play for Humanity – Sports and Music for All." The Turkmen side will present its exhibit under the harmonious slogan "Turkmenistan – the Melody of Peace, the Land of Health."

The choice of the motto is no accident. It integrates national values into the global agenda: "Melody of Peace" reflects the country's status of permanent neutrality and its role as a cultural bridge, while "Land of Health" highlights successes in developing mass sports and promoting a healthy lifestyle—themes that will be the core of the Belgrade exhibition.

President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, approving the proposals, emphasized that participation in such forums is not only an image boost but also a pragmatic tool for expanding trade and economic ties. Currently, the main focus is on equipping the pavilion, which is intended to become an interactive showcase of the country's export opportunities and tourism potential.

About EXPO 2027 in Belgrade

The exhibition will run for 93 days—from May 15 to August 15, 2027.

A state-of-the-art exhibition complex covering over 110 hectares is being built specifically for EXPO in the Belgrade municipality of Surčin. It will eventually be connected to the city center by a new metro line.

This week, the Second International Congress of EXPO 2027 Participants opened in Belgrade, bringing together delegates from 138 countries, confirming the enormous interest in the project. Belgrade will be the first capital city in the Western Balkans to host a specialized exhibition of this caliber.

The strong interest in the Belgrade exhibition is confirmed by the fact that Serbia holds the absolute record for the number of countries registered for exhibitions: 137 countries have registered for EXPO 2027, significantly surpassing the previous record of 117 countries registered for the 2017 Astana exhibition.
