The Ambassador of Australia Noted Turkmenistan's Role in Ensuring Regional Stability
On March 12, Deputy Foreign Minister of Turkmenistan Akhmet Gurbanov met with Ambassador of Australia John William Gearing. The main focus of the conversation was the Australian side's sincere gratitude: Ashgabat helped organize the transit of Australian citizens returning from Iran.
Amid instability in the Middle East, when traditional routes and supply chains are collapsing, Turkmenistan is demonstrating the effectiveness of its policy of neutrality. Assistance to Australians is not simply a technical matter of border crossing, but a gesture of goodwill, which was highly appreciated in Canberra.
Ambassador Gearing and Akhmet Gurbanov discussed the situation in the region, emphasizing the importance of joining efforts to ensure peace, security, and stability.
