Robotics in Belarus will become more accessible thanks to benefits and new loans
Belarus is launching a large-scale modernization of its industry. Representatives of the Ministry of Economy, the National Academy of Sciences, and the Development Bank have presented a joint plan that will help factories introduce automation with minimal costs. The main goal is to make robotics an accessible tool for improving the efficiency of every enterprise, BELTA reports.
The National Academy of Sciences emphasizes that robotization does not always require the purchase of expensive foreign systems. A rational approach involves three options: using classical manipulators, automating existing conveyor lines, or converting serial machinery into unmanned complexes. This allows enterprises to save time and significantly reduce the cost of modernization.
The financial side of the initiative will be handled by the Development Bank. A credit line with impressive limits—up to 200 million rubles—has been prepared to support industrial modernization. The terms are highly favorable: during the first six years the interest rate will be only 6–7% per year, and the total loan period may reach up to 15 years. Such support enables factories, including giants like BELJI, to multiply the number of robots operating at their production sites.
At the same time, the Ministry of Economy is finalizing a package of tax incentives. Enterprises implementing innovations will be able to benefit from preferences on profit tax and VAT. Additional bonuses are also planned for residents of the High-Tech Park working in the field of robotics.
For business owners and managers, this is a clear signal that optimal conditions have now been created for upgrading production capacities. The combination of affordable loans, tax incentives, and ready technological solutions makes it possible to quickly recoup investments and increase the competitiveness of Belarusian products in the global market.
