Turkmenistan and the EU strengthen partnership in education and high technology
Turkmenistan's Ambassador to Belgium Sapar Palvanov met with Normunds Popens, Deputy Director-General of the European Commission's Directorate-General for Education, Youth, Sport and Culture (DG EAC).
The primary focus of the meeting was to discuss prospects for deepening cooperation between Turkmenistan and the European Union. The parties deliberated on expanding the participation of Turkmen universities and youth organizations in European programs, including academic exchanges and joint projects in the areas of high technology, digital transformation, and the green economy.
Furthermore, during the conversation, the Turkmen side expressed interest in European approaches to education quality assurance, the credit-modular system, and academic mobility.
The discussions also covered the digitalization of the educational process and modern university management models, touching upon youth policy and cultural engagement.
Following the meeting, both sides confirmed their mutual interest in the institutional development of cooperation. They also emphasized their readiness to continue a systematic dialogue aimed at implementing concrete joint initiatives.
