The heat from the Middle Eastern deserts met with the heat of Karakum
The population of the Central Asian countries these days is experiencing an unusually hot period even for this sunny part of the continent. In Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan and Kyrgyzstan, the thermometer rose above 40 °, while in Iraq, where these hot air streams come from, more than 50 °. According to Meteonovosti, the reason for such extreme temperatures is a sedentary anticyclone, which brings scorching air into the Central Asia from the deserts of Iran and Iraq. On July 25th, the maximum temperature rose in Kyzylorda to 43.7 °, in Bishkek - 37 ° and in Turkestan - 42.5 °. Judging by the current data of Turkmenhydromet, the hottest points in Turkmenistan are Bagtyyarlyk (+ 43 °), Mary, Bayramali, Takhtabazar, Atamurat, Koytendag, Dervese (+ 42 °). The most "cool" places in the country are Garabogaz (+ 28 °) and Gulvymayk (+ 27 °).
