Ashgabat, February 14 | ORIENT. The foreign policy results for 2025, presented by Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov at the expanded Cabinet meeting, demonstrate the country's global integration processes. If we measure diplomatic activity in numbers, the past year was significant in terms of the number of high-level contacts and the intensity of international meetings.

President Serdar Berdimuhamedov made 15 foreign visits, covering key centers of global politics and economics: from Beijing and Tokyo to Rome and New York. Of particular significance were double visits to the United States (participation in the UN General Assembly) and the Russian Federation, as well as active engagement in Central Asia (Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, and Tajikistan).

National Leader of the Turkmen people, head of the Khalk Maslakhaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov made nine visits, including trips to Paris, Monaco, and Afghanistan.

The figures for the incoming flow of delegations illustrate the dynamics of diplomatic contacts: 936 foreign delegations visited Turkmenistan over the year; 31 visits by heads of state and government took place; and 2,794 official negotiations were held at various levels.

In 2025, the country hosted the UN Secretary-General, the heads of the OSCE, the SCO, the Joint Territorial Community, and many other international organizations.

The International Year of Peace and Trust, proclaimed on Turkmenistan's initiative, became more than just a slogan, but a large-scale action plan—approximately 100 events were held under its auspices. The culmination was the December anniversary forum in Ashgabat, timed to the 30th anniversary of neutrality, which brought together world leaders.

The country's legal framework has been expanded with 264 new documents, signifying the expansion of genuine cooperation in business, law, and humanitarian affairs.

The Foreign Ministry's activity in 2025 paved the way for 2026. Turkmenistan today is a pioneer in global processes, from transport corridors to energy security.
