This historic record was set following the strategic merger of the space company SpaceX and the artificial intelligence developer xAI.
The combined technology giant has been valued at $1.25 trillion. Musk’s personal stake in this structure amounts to approximately 43%, equivalent to $542 billion. The remainder of his wealth comes from his 12% stake in Tesla and a package of stock options, with a total value exceeding $300 billion.
The pace of the billionaire’s wealth growth is striking: back in October 2025, he became the first person to surpass the $500 billion threshold. By December, amid legal victories related to Tesla shares, his fortune had grown to $700 billion. At present, Musk is ahead of his closest competitor, Google founder Larry Page, by a staggering $575 billion.
