Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Congratulated Aliyev and Pashinyan on Receiving the "For Human Fraternity" Award.
The awarding of the Zayed International Prize for Human Fraternity to President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan was a landmark event not only for the South Caucasus but also for global diplomacy. National Leader of the Turkmen People and Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty (People's Council), Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, sent a video message to the ceremony participants, emphasizing the special role of the two leaders in achieving long-term agreement.
The Chairman of the Khalk Maslahaty (People's Council) of Turkmenistan noted that the high level of responsibility and wisdom of Ilham Aliyev and Nikol Pashinyan have become key factors in stability in the region. According to the National Leader, this decision is particularly significant in the context of Turkmenistan's initiatives, as 2025 has been declared the International Year of Peace and Trust by the UN.
"The adoption of important decisions on achieving peace and harmony between Azerbaijan and Armenia during the International Year of Peace and Trust is of truly great historical significance," Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov emphasized.
Turkmenistan, as a neutral state, sees not only political but also powerful economic potential in this rapprochement. The National Leader of the Turkmen people expressed confidence that peaceful dialogue will give rise to new large-scale infrastructure and transport projects that will link the Caspian and Caucasus regions.
Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov's personal recollections of the founder of the UAE added a particularly emotional tone to the message:
"Sheikh bin Zayed was a great man. I was fortunate to discuss peace with him on numerous occasions," the head of the Khalk Maslakhaty shared, emphasizing that the award named after him is an inspiring stimulus for promoting the values of good-neighborliness.
Turkmenistan confirmed its readiness to provide comprehensive support for peace initiatives, leveraging its authority as a neutral state and its experience in mediation.
