Ashgabat, January 3 | ORIENT. The first week of February 2026 will set important vectors for Central Asian economic ties. U.S. Special Envoy for South and Central Asia Sergio Gore is visiting the Kyrgyz Republic and Uzbekistan from February 3 to 7. As part of this visit, the second Business (B)5+1 forum will be held in Bishkek. The goal of the meeting is to translate the diplomatic agreements of the C5+1 format into contracts and innovative partnerships.

While the first B5+1 forum in Almaty (2024) was an introductory forum, the meeting in Bishkek on February 4–5, 2026, will be a time for practical solutions. The Turkmen delegation, together with their regional counterparts, will focus on sectors where the participation of American technology can have the greatest impact.

For our country, the B5+1 format is an opportunity to directly present its investment potential to the largest US corporations. Experience shows that such meetings result in recommendations for simplifying procedures and modernizing the business environment, making our market more understandable to global capital.

Economic diplomacy is no longer just theory. The upcoming B5+1 meeting is another step toward creating a unified investment space in Central Asia. Sergio Gora's visit to Central Asian countries confirms that the US views the region not simply as a transit zone, but as a promising partner ready to translate political dialogue into real economic indicators.

It is worth recalling that the current American diplomatic activity in Bishkek is a logical continuation of Sergio Gora's visit to Turkmenistan in late January. Then, during meetings with President Serdar Berdimuhamedov and National Leader of the Turkmen People Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, the foundations were laid for further discussions on regional stability and security.
