Islamabad, January 30 | ORIENT. Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Pakistan, Atajan Movlamov, met with Gulmina Bilal Ahmad, Chairperson of the National Vocational and Technical Training Commission (NAVTTC). The main topic of the dialogue was the integration of educational systems for the development of qualified specialists.

What is NAVTTC and why is it important? Pakistan's NAVTTC is the highest government body responsible for technical training standards and retraining. With a network of hundreds of training centers, Pakistan is successfully implementing the internationally recognized CBT&E (competency-based training) system. For Turkmenistan, cooperation with this organization provides access to modern training methods for mid-level specialists in demand in industry and construction.

TAPI and the Personnel Reserve. The parties placed particular emphasis on "capacity building" programs. Experts note that with the implementation of large-scale transregional projects such as the TAPI gas pipeline and the TAP power transmission lines, the need for certified technical personnel will only grow. Joint programs with NAVTTC could provide a foundation for training technicians and engineers proficient in international safety and quality protocols.

Cultural Code: Studying Urdu. An unexpected, yet strategically sound, point of discussion was the development of Urdu language studies in Turkmenistan. Firstly, this strengthens the historical ties between the two peoples. Secondly, knowledge of the language of a key economic partner in South Asia opens new doors for Turkmen businesses and logistics companies operating in the Pakistani direction.
